4/09/08 show

Stay tuned folks for a new exciting episode! Will somebody make an !ss of themselves and unjustly make a bundle of money? Will somebody with honest intentions tragically fall of the worst of luck? Or, will it be the rare episode with the decent guy / jackass getting what they deserve? Only time will tell...in about fifteen minutes! As with the previous show, I will keep track of the cases and numbers (on paper) and try to figure out the board. I always do this when I watch it on TV and play the DVD game, so why not entertain other fans? I will update the progress of the game after every round/break and post my predictions on the safe/dangerous cases. I've actually won the million eight times on the DVD game and am mostly right on the safe/dangerouns cases. Anyone who wants to join along with their feelings on the game are welcome.

What is everyone's fascination with 25/26? Either one or both of those cases almost always hold a large number. What a way to start. But, besides hitting the million, the other cases were very low and helped generate a good first offer. My first call is case 20-21. Seeing how 26 is a large one, I'll say the next one in line is that 20 or that guy's case right next to it.

reply

100K (case 5) and 200K (case 14). One or two large numbers could be anywhere in 8-9-10-11. I'll narrow it down to 9-10. 20-21 still look like contenders for large ones. Oh, and I can just see it now. The Banker will probably try *scaring* that guy with video footage of squirrels.

reply

Wasn't paying attention before when he already picked 20. I thought they had opened 19. Regardless, 21 is looking very much like a biggy. He could be holding a bad boy. 9-10 are still looking good for big ones as well. I know there's more to the board than that, it's hard to tell just yet.

reply

300K (case 6). 9 could still hold a large one, it might not. If either of 8-9 hold one, I'm still saying 9. The questions are 3-22-25. There could be big one in his case or 22 next to it. Than again, if it's completely different and 25 holds a large one, 21-22 don't have to be big ones at all. Have to consider alternate possibilities.

reply

400K (case 9). That guy is not the only with superpowers. The remainder of this board is looking tighter than clearer. It's at the end, so here is my final predictions. 3 is safe. Either 21-22 hold a large number (I'm leaning closer to 21). 25 holds a big one. You have to consider the "proper order" of the big cases and you also have to consider the pure randomness of it. He might want to consider getting out now.

I realize I forgot to mention case 8 in my final predictions. I did think that was safe. But look at that, 500K. 25 was safe. I only considered it because of the randomness of the board. Instead, 8 would prove the randomness. 3 was safe and it was down to 21-22. Right next to each other. That is the among the scariest and tightest of possibilities to happen in the game. And it wasn't in his case after all. I would have bailed on that last offer too. Good move.

I think we all knew the banker wouldnt be revealing his face. I saw that coming from a mile.

I'll Shout It Everywhere I go, I Love You Barry Manilow!

I didn't. I knew they would to something "scary" with a squirrel, but I didn't see them "de-masking" him as a clown. Maybe because it seemed too obvious or too unlikely. It didn't bother me. It's the simpler gimmicks like that, that keep the show fresh.
