Deal Or No Deal - Open Casting Call

I went to the Deal or No Deal Casting Call in Winston Salem, North Carolina this past weekend.

Here is an article of the things that I learned.

It was tiring, the lines were long, I waited about 5 hours for a 20 second interview - but man, it was FUN!!!

Has anyone else gone to an open casting call?

Just wondered?

I didn’t go, but I know of someone who went thru the process, as they just had open casting this week. I hear the reason for this was the show is going syndicated.

The wait was approximately 8 hours to get in to “audition”

This person was selected to move on and the next day they were interview again and also had to bring their “support group”.

During that interview they were questioned and then they played a mock game, with the supporters.

Out of all the thousands of people that auditioned only 30 people made it to the next stage.

Now from what I hear they wait. I also heard that if they didn’t use them for Deal or No Deal that they could possibly use them for another game show.

Good luck. If she gets called, have her read "how to win" on this site, and practice with her. You have to have a method, and you have to practice cuz the distractions onstage make it hard to concentrate.

I guarantee at least $250,000, and as much as 400K, using this method:

If she wins, can I have like $20K? I'm kinda desperate since my tech job went to China.

That is so cool. I'd love to hear about her progress.

Do you live in the area?

I went to an open call yesterday..It is a lot of waiting... for a lot of nothing, really. They put you in groups of ten and you each have 20 seconds to sell yourself to some guy holding a stop watch in your face....
And from what i saw, they only kept the people that had sob stories to tell....

reply

Actually they're encouraged to turn away the people with sob stories.

You have a better chance by filling out the application on NBC.com and sending in an audition tape.
There is going to be a daytime version of the show.

Will there still be the night time version of the show, along with the daytime...And will Howie host them both do you know?
The daytime versions of game shows, usually is the start of their downfall i think ....
