Deal or No deal canceled

Several websites are now reporting that Deal or No Deal has been canceled. People trying to get on the show as audience members have also reported all upcoming shows canceled. There are some taped shows that haven't aired yet. I'll miss the models the most.

Is this the half hour show or the hour show we are talking about here?

It's the NBC Primetime version. It's not on the NBC Fall 2009-2010 lineup primarily because of the new 10 PM Jay Leno Show. The syndicated 1/2 hour version has been renewed and will be taping this fall in Waterford, Connecticut.

The last 4 eps of 24 starts this Monday at 9 PM on FOX!

If it's not on at night anymore that is just as well cancelled to me. Not many people care to watch a half-hour daytime version. Won't be the same. It's too bad, I thought it always did really well in the ratings. Wonder why it was cancelled?? Again, I always remember it being in the Top 10, even during American Idol weeks.

It was too overexposed and people just got sick of it. Even avid viewers constantly complaned about the too-frequent commercial breaks, the slow game play, and the obnoxious contestants. Plus it takes the fun out of watching a game show when all of the ads are going to tell you the exact date and time someone is going to pick the million dollar case. Same exact thing happened to Who wants to be a millionaire?

Pretty much sums it. Plus the sillyhood of having the family on the set, I never thought that was a good idea.

I watch the daytime version. No family, way less chatter. Worst part of it is, you can tell what's going to happen by watching the clock. Oh, and only 2 pair of bazookas to oogle, instead of 26.

I was also wondering if the show is definately cancelled this time or is it still on hiatus again. I remember they aired some leftover episodes and it disappeared again.

It will be shown during primetime on the CW network for the 2009-2010 season.

It's actually going to air the syndicated episodes from the 1st and the upcoming 2nd season on MyNetwork TV. The NBC version is being seen on GSN at 7 and 11 PM ET.

Sold it to Fox? Hah, like NBC had something else going for it.

All network TV is vapid. This show admits it is. That's redeeming IMO. It's 52 bazookas and a series of minor cliffhangers. Bazookas and cliffhangers have been the basis of some of the most demographically-successful television ever.

To criticize it on an intellectual basis is to belie that the critic is not using intellect. In the entire history of television you can count the number of 'intellectual' shows that made it on one hand.

The show starts filming again next week in Waterford CT.
