I just saw this movie.
The plot is slow, it jumps back and forth and it just an all around terrible movie. I WOULD NOT reccomend this movie for anyone.

shareI just saw it too...I'm assuming the same place...in NJ...
Anyway, I thought it was a GREAT movie and definitely WOULD recommend it.
The acting was surprisingly excellent and the twists were really good. imo it definitely started out a little slow...but got much better as the movie continued.
It's honestly unlike any movie i've ever seen before...which really impressed me.
May i ask how old you are?...as this may be a reason why it did not appeal to you.
Also another thing to consider is that this is an independent film, which has a budget of basically ZERO compared to big blockbusters like transformers for instance.. for what it is I really enjoyed it and would want to see it again.
I saw it in NJ too and I was blown away by the movie. I've already recommended it to my friends.
This is the kind of movie that I want to make. It actually inspired me to go back into writing. I'm halfway through a new screenplay now.
Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down. Makes her home.
Where did you see it? Is it online? I NEED to see it
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me!!!
I just saw this movie for the first time .... and it was quite fascinating and, at times, completely MESMERIZING!
And Brooke Nevin was AMAZING. She was deeply committed to her surprisingly-complex character, and literally drove me to tears at the end. What a GREAT actress!!
I wouldn't say it's terrible, it's just not my cup of tea. I was there at the Paramus theater they showed it at. I give it a 6/10; I liked the direction it started in, as a cross between David Holzman's Diary and Natural Born Killers for the 21st century with a heavy dosage of teen angst thrown in (maybe too much, i.e. emo music), but it was funny... until it got predictable in the last third. I think Gabriel Sunday is going places, though he does have the bad luck of spending years on a movie with a main subject about suicide... and then one of the main actors (allegedly) commits suicide himself.

Went to this film last night, and I agree with the first poster.
Terrible.
Childish.
Not moving.
No message.
Predictable.
I may have been impressed if the creator of this film had been 17 himself, but unfortunately it wasn't the case.

Da.mn if some of you are able to think My Sucide is an awful movie I assume you certainly think Twilight BS are the most impressive pieces of art ever shot in modern cinema history. This movie is awesome! IMO Sunday/Miller have done more than a great job.
The beginning was slow for you but it wasn't for me. The references to cinema classics and the way Archie conceive the universe around him and his mind were important to settle up before he starts his romance with Sierra. I'm 26, but sometimes I think people of the same age(or under) can't appreciate beautiful diamonds as my Suicide. The only thing sure is I could watch this flix over and over again and buy the dvd with no regret at all. It's enjoyable for a lifetime more than a Transformers/Twilight thing.
Even the acting was upper class. Sunday is impressive, Mantegna the weird indian shrink, Welch...I felt a tear coming in my eye when Corey died. What a twist! I know it isn't easy writting a short of quality, and so a movie. But a movie with plenty of animation, allusion and different styles with a logical plot. And several MESSAGES. WTF! who could do better here? Now it's official, 2012 is for sure the end of the world. I see no other way for ending this mainstream of stupidity.

Exactly. The filming style, plot, and acting were all waiting for some better material, but it never happened. 5-6 sounds about right...

Agreed. The editing and main character needed to tone it down A LOT!
Both the lead and editing was too self absorbed, yet there is talent here.
How much screen time by the way did the lead have? Seemed like every shot he had to be in it! Yeah, I understand he's the lead but jeez, talk about an obnoxious lead character who's well off (lives in his parents guest house) and is just plain self absorbed. I could only take so much!
Honestly I felt the same way, too slow, too predictable, I feel they were trying too hard to make it a coming of age indie film they forgot to care about the actual plot. I could barely finish it.
shareyup agreed. bored to tears. totally pointless. holding my eyelids open to finish it. how can every review be 10 stars? i think it has to be 100% self reviewers.
shareEither that, or intelligent people. Probably the latter.

I liked the movie, but I used the forward cue because I didn’t care for most of the monologues by the Lead character, Archie.
The female lead (Nevin) actually kept me watching, she stole the show IMO.
On the plus side, the acting was very good, and the movie did make a dramatic point about a very serious problem, teen suicide. Overall, not for everyone, but it has some very good points.
Play on Drummer...
saw it again today, liked it much more than the first time, the editing is still annoying but the story "hit me" more this time.
8/10When there's no more room in hell, The dead will walk the earth...
I finally got round to watching this, after just 10 minutes i wanted to turn it off because i can't stand the 'amateurish film making genre'. I did see it to the end but it is nothing amazing.. 5/10
