Suicide Attempt Cut
There was a suicide attempt during filming. I wonder why they decided to delete that scene?

*I know I'm replying really late*
But... if you go to Lauren Greenfield's personal website, the deleted scene is there. I suppose they cut it because it broke up the continuity of the film and distracted viewers from the aspect that it's a documentary on eating disorders, not suicides. The girl survived... she was abusing inhalants or something. Not much was really shown.
Yeah I saw it, that's why I was wondering why they cut it.
It wasn't that interesting but I would say it was quite important.
Really tells you a lot about the girl too. If i'm not mistaken she tried to kill herself with her young child in the house. I might be thinking of something else since I saw this a while ago but i'm pretty sure it was this.
In any case she should have had her kid(s) taken off her a long time ago, what a shame.
Doesn't matter that the replies are late, where did you all come from lol Was it recently on tv ?

They seemed to avoid the really sad stuff in general. Polly, Alissa and Shelly, as ill as they were, weren't living skelitons. There were a handful of girls in the background of the story and the shots who were. The ultimate message had to be one of hope. Some of those girls looked hopeless.
Nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands.
