They should have named this episode: "I Shouldn't Be Outdoors, Because I'm a Girl."
Only an idiot would:
1) Hike into the Grand Canyon ALONE without a map or compass, with no idea where you're going. 2) Decide to put your backpack down after the first few hours of walking because it's "too heavy", when it contains your only food, water, sleeping bag, and supplies. 3) SCARE AWAY YOUR OWN DOG, because he drank your water....????? REALLLY????
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA..... Sadly, she lived and went on to raise a family, so we'll probably have to rescue her children from a sandbox, bedroom closet, or the local mall someday soon.
"I Shouldn't Be Outdoors, Because I'm a Girl." That seems sexist. A guy could've been as much of an idiot in that situation as she was.
And the dog drinking the water didn't cause her to be angry... the dog made the glasses case (collecting the drops of water) fall over, which cost her hours of water collected.
The other mistakes were bad enough but I absolutely couldn't believe it when she just left her back pack behind. It was good to see the dog end up surviving though when it was put in that predicament by the owner's foolishness.
Well the first two mistakes were the ones I didn't like. Leaving the backpack because of its 20+ pounds? Oh come on, at least take some of it with you! Empty something heavy or for your own sake, leave some sort of trail leading to and from the backpack if you really must leave it!!! She really is so lucky to be alive, out of all the episodes I have seen, this one tops the list as the one where she really got some luck on her side. A lot of it.
A better title: "I shouldn't be outdoors, Because I'm a moron."
No one with a single bit of intellectual reasoning or common sense would do ANY of the things you mentioned. I had a very hard time feeling sorry for her.
This is to all of you who are calling her a moron for the decisions she made. You've come to that conclusion after sitting in your comfortable homes, being able to get a nice cool drink (or a warm one if it is cold) knowing that you have a warm bed to sleep in. You had time to think about what you would post on this forum.
If she was able to make the same decisions again in your situation she would probably have decided differently.
I came her right after watching that episode, I didn't feel anything for her, "I was only rooting the dog to survive" I was so piss that there is someone on earth that can make such a stupid decision, someone like her should one be able to breed hopefully her husband made make every day decision, witch is why she is alive.
At lest take your water and sleeping bad whats that like 5 or 10 pounds.
Left her back pack behind, she should be #1 on the I Shouldn't Be Alive best of the stupidest survivor edition.
And for those who think that men make stupid decision, yes we do but we all know that in the wilderness, never abandon your supplies, even if you have to fight a bear or pack of wolves, either fight, run, but never abandon your water and sleeping bag those are the two things that will help you survive.
Also guys and speaking of women and their stupid decision, here is two other idiots in 2013 that Shouldn't Be be allowed to to outside. Please google
Rescued hikers, one pregnant, die after driving into ocean Pregnant Woman & Her Friend Drown Just Hours After Being rescue Amy Stiner, 37, and Melissa Moyer, 38, had just been found after getting lost while hiking at Roque Bluff State Park in Maine.
I was so piss off that the dog also went down with those idiots.
Most episodes leave me in cold astonishment, and missing anything resembling a lesson learned from the protagonists. Oh well, just a little bad luck there, I’ll probably do it again.
But this Grand Canyon story was the opus magnum of stupidity, in a program populated with imbeciles. Darwin’s ghost kept telling me; she is supposed to die, so the human species can advance. I nodded in knowing agreement and thinking, please, please don’t reproduce.
Then as if to taunt or even mock me, at the end of the program they actually show her progeny, which I think caused me to have a little cerebral hemorrhage and bladder failure. Really? I needed to see that?
I honestly believe the show should change the title to: “I should have a tubal ligation, or vasectomy.”
No one said all men are evil and stupid. He made a reference to stupidity of women and I made a comment that there are men who are stupid as well...so what's the matter...I made a funny. You're supposed to laugh. Why aren't you laughing or are you one of those precious dudes who think all women are stupid and only good for one thing?
I'll tell you in another life when we are both cats.
hahahaha. this is the only episode i have seen and it has made me think the show is *beep* are all the episodes as bad as this? or is it worth watching
