Love this movie! Why the sudden bump on IMDB rating?

It says it's up 1,000 this week. I was just curious why. Is one of the actors doing a big project or something? Thanks! P.S.- this is one of my favorite movies ever so I'm not dogging the rating; I'm just curious!

This movie should easily deserve more then 5.9!

Nope! It's a bad movie with very unlikable characters! It actually deserves less than 5.9! ;)

I watched it because their dance was in the video for "Shut Up And Dance" that's going around on social media. It wouldn't surprise me if that's why most of the new viewers are coming from.
