Good until the end...

The Kate Hudson character just all of a sudden loves the d bag guy and is HAPPY to be pregnant with his baby? Whatever, just dumb. Not reality

Agree. They made it that way to justify Dex and Rachel's sh*tty behavior, you know, it's ok that we cheated with each other because see, Darcy is fine, she's happy and pregnant with another dude anyway!!!

I'm being sarcastic. This is a shorty movie (book) full of bad people. No ones likeable except for Ethan.

I didn't think it was really that way that was just the face she was putting on for Rachel. Dex had called off the wedding so Darcy was making the best of it and wanted Rachel to think it all worked out the way she wanted it to.

When Darcy stormed out of the apartment super pissed and treated Marcus like an after thought that was the real Darcy.

Darcy didn't love Marcus, that was just her being "Darcy" at the apartment, trying to make Rachel think calling off the wedding was her idea and everything turned out in her favor, as always. I have no doubt she dumped him short after that (notice her being alone chasing after Ethan in London).

However, I think she eventually warmed up to the idea of her baby and, maybe for the first time, was truly happy.

Your ending story is plausible, the one in the movie wasn't.

She was just trying to act like she was fine with the breakup.
