Yeah, if that's the true story , I really believe he just went crazy and just imagined in his head that god told him to do this. People that call themselves a true Christian would have gone the path of Adam Drivers character. Sure, "god" can forgive Andrew garfields character for his actions in thee end but all in all he cowereded away from his faith and used "Gods voice" as an excuse to do so and save lives. All in all he actually did good by turning his back on god wether he thought he was doing the right thing or not. Lives matter in the end and least he had some good jimminy cricket concience in the end instead of letting people get killed in the name of his imaginary god up in the clouds. Great anti-religious film actually.
