Has anyone else read the Power and the Glory?

I had always wished there was a good movie version of that novel but this movie makes it pretty moot.

I've started reading it, and while I was watching Silence I was reminded very strongly of Greene's novel; Graham Greene is a genius!

Shūsaku Endō, the author of the novel "Silence" on which this movie is based, has often been called "the Japanese Graham Greene."
