Not Sandler but Cheadle kills in the movie. In a good way.
I mean, when he tries to deny he " covets " Charlie's freedom and then exits and comes back into the scene, finally accepting, very slowly, that his wife is right. *beep* that's funny.
Ok, *beep* it's desperate to reply one's own thread but the last shot of the mother and father in law as they look around and the mother begins to talk about the kitchen and the father says flatly, as Charlie would have,
" It's just a kitchen sweetie. "
Actually, that would have been a great scene overall but the silly background this-is-funny music kills the potential dramatic undertone.
But still funny. Very funny.
