So the fairies are being shot in the head and mowed down by gunfire by running away. UM, they have wings and could have flown away. That was a huge plot hole when 1 minute later Vignette flies away to safety. Dumb.

Didn't you notice the barbed wire nets in the trees?

He also ,missed the dead faries caught in them as well. But I think the confusion was that by the time we see wings or are aware of the fact that these are fairies he already forgot about the barb wires.
