Another possible theory on David's mother
What if David's mother was a Jumper, but then she converted to a Paladin? Just curious.

I thought that was a possibility. If she were a jumper converting over to the Paladin ranks would be a safe move for her provided she can keep her jumping under control. I think that David's Jumper ability came from her and her side of his family. David's father seems to be totally in the dark about any of David's Jumping abilities. David's mother did say near the end of the movie to David that he made his first jump when he was five. It was probably a jump across the room maybe to avoid a bath. LOL.
I would like a sort of "prequel" that covers the origins of the Paladins that would in turn give a little origin of Jumpers.
