More evidence -Home CCTV footage?

I really feel like I have missed something key with this film.... Why does no one examine the CCTV footage from inside the house? At one point the camera cuts to the CCTV screen showing the wife's body. Given how we see Hopkins drag the body across the floor, wouldn't there be evidence of him at least moving body?
Also, at the end, Hopkins watches Gosling on the CCTV and he's stood where the murder took place! If the camera captured that, then why isn't there footage of Hopkins pulling the trigger?
Why does the way in which he film is shot put such prominence on the CCTV shots, yet they are not dealt with as evidence. What have I missed?...

That's just one of many good questions regarding the plausibility of this plot.

We are to understand from the beginning that Crawford is very smart. One safely assumes that he would get rid of any incriminating video evidence. We need not be shown every detail.

It would have helped. I liked the movie, but I'm not fond of loose ends.

This is true. Good filmmaking suggests as well as shows and tells.

I thought of that immediately, but I think the inside of the house is not recorded, it's just to monitor the premise.

I agree with the response that "I think the inside of the house is not recorded, it's just to monitor the premise.", but I still think this should've been mentioned, given the fact that the video was shown several times.
