Waterloo Road returns to TV screens next year

I have mixed feelings, however. I enjoyed S3 to S5 as all of my all-time favourite characters, both students and teachers were combined there, but it went off the rails later on and completely jumped the shark in the move to Scotland. And to cap it all off, as they sensed the series was nearing the end of its natural run, they chose to kill off beloved students and teachers like Grantly, Tom, Denzil, Sambuca and put others in a wheelchair like Tariq - in other words, they butchered these characters.

And now they want to bring it back, because of high viewership views and ratings based on the complete boxset on iPlayer, which I myself have contributed to, as it's one of the most popular shows I re-watch, especially the seasons I mentioned. However, I dread to think who will come back, or (shudders) if anyone will be resurrected. It might even end up woke, as all BBC TV is these days.

I think they should've left it dormant.
