First of all, let me explain the definition of "one off pupil"
A one off pupil is a pupil who you will only ever get to see in just one episode, and you wont get to see them in any other episode after that.
I think this show relys on them too much, and in this series i think they are being used especially too much.
Yes I agree! They need a few more new regular pupils that have ongoing story lines not just ones that pop up in a few lessons then have a crisis for one episode and then go back to just popping up in lessons.
The trouble is though with most of them, they are either just never seen again in any lesson, or they actually quit the school after only one day of attending it.
shareI actually prefer the 'one off pupil' concept as you don't have to endure drawn out story plots going nowhere fast,and if there all as cute as the girlie in last nights then more please!I don't believe she could of killed anyone for a second.
shareI dont have an issue with the short story lines, its just the fact that they have a short story but then completely disappear. Its really unrealistic that they are a main character in one episode and have loads of close friends but then they are never seen or heard of again. It doesnt matter that the story is over but just the fact that they disappear.
shareKyles girlfriend was the perfect example. That story had so many flaws. From watch that episode you would imagine that Kyle and the girl had been together a long time, long enough to get her 'pregnant' anyway. But the episode before this one (the last series finale) Kyle was flirting with Sam, i know it was just flirting and nothing happened but Finn was paranoid, and Kyle was purposely making it look worse, and as far as everyone was concerned, he was single.
Then on the baby episode they were so in love, he was with her throughout that episode. then the next week, hes back with chilling with Denzil, etc. No mention of this girl. wouldnt be as bad if we saw her walking around, with Kyle, but we dont, were expected to forget. Annoying!
I would have liked the cousin murder to have been in for more episodes, and have a kind of redemption storyline, I seriously thought that was where they were going, especially as they gave her a sympathetic edge in her last scene.
