last year and early on this year i watched the series where the heads daughter was being stalked by her ex who put up videos of her on the net, i assumed it was the most recent one, it ended with finn in a wheelchair, miss montoyaye and whats his name getting married and so on.
ive started watching the new series and finns not in a wheelchair anymore, all the cast has gone without explanation and i was wondering if what i saw was the previous series or have i missed out one? also tom is close with sambuka now and wasnt before. any help please.

The stalker ex-boyfriend was eventually arrested, Tom & Sambuka are close because he dated her mam in an earlier series.

You haven't missed a series though and it's no wonder you're confused because the rest of the storylines you mention were just dropped-there's been no mention of Miss Montoya since she was arrested after the wedding and there's been no mention of Finn's accident either-he was just back to normal walking at the start of the new series!
Josh's boyfriend has also disappeared and he hasn't been mentioned in the new series either.

Your fine, dont worry.
Waterloo Road tend to just drop people without explanation or reference.
The whole wheelchair thing annoyed me, this series began with him being a n** to Kyle again after what looked like peace making in the hospital room. I suppose they wanted Finn better so he could be stable during the Sam storyline. But yes, Tom and Rose used to be together so Toms always been protective over Sam, then with everything thats happened this series have seen them get even closer.

Ruby was going into a career as a writer and Marcus Kirby took his kids out of school after the whole montoya thing. Suppose their story is over. Adanna lawall though disappeared without explanation as well as the segregation storyline.

I also found the Finn/Kyle relationship confusing.

Ok, looks like they have made peace, in hospital, then it starts again between them at the beginning of the series.

But then after the mid season break/term, Finn asks him where he has been as he has been texting him to hang out, so it's made to look like they are/were pals, despite no indication of that during the early part of the series.

From that point on Kyle is again against him, for no real reason.

The whole series sees tons of characters disappear without explanation, not even a few lines in the script, to say heard from so and so and they are doing fine etc...
