why does everyone consider this a flop?

I read countless articles calling it a flop while it still grossed over 70 million dollars i don't consider that a flop at all. Maybe under-achieving a little bit but it was never supposed to gross an amount such as 150 million and up. Movies like Meet Dave and Little Man are 100 percent flops, but this making way more buisness should not. i also enjoyed the movie as a funny, harmless, different take on the christmas genre and because Vince never lets me down. What do you guys think?

A lot of IMDbers don't know the definition of "flop". They use the word to describe a movie they don't like when the word is supposed to indicate that a film did poorly at the box office. I think this is about the #9 highest grossing Christmas movie and isn't a flop. a person might not like it, but it's not a flop.
