I nitpick with this question but....

Ok, so Kevin Spacey's character was sent to Santa's workshop to observe and report and ultimately decide if Santa keeps his job right...well my question is this: who did he work for? who has authority over Santa Claus? i mean, one idea is that it was Jesus, but these days they wouldn't typically go with something that was TOO Christian as far as Christmas movies go (so let's once again disregard the irony). It's easy to assume that Santa created his own job, even this movie establishes that notion when it shows Santa as a child beginning to practice what he will one day do every year on Christmas Eve. So who works over Santa that has the authority to fire him?

and another even more silly question: Who ever it is that works over Santa, why would they hire Clyde who was at one point at the top of the most naughty list? Don't they do background checks? #$@!

I don't see how it could be JC that was threatening to shut down Santa's workshop.

Spacey mentioned the Tooth Fairy and that really has nothing to do with Christianity.

He just represented a fictional governing body that oversees popular fictional characters such as the tooth fairy, the easter bunny, and santa. He definitely did not represent JC or anything too major like that.

I agree. This part is kind of confusing and requires a real leap to suspend disbelief in the Santa Clause fairytale we all know.
