Was that Jesus being born at the beginning?

No wait, that was Santa haha. I'm not religious or anything but I still think it's funny how Jesus is basically never mentioned in mainstream Christmas movies. I mean it's his birthday after all.

We can become cops, or criminals. But when you're facing a loaded gun, what's the difference?

That would probably be for two reasons. First being that some would take it as being an evangelistic piece trying to get people to go to church. Second, its probably because Christmas today has so little to do with the religious roots that it would probably be lost on people.

And that's good because that makes Christmas a secular festival making it more inclusive.

It's still and always will be CHRISTmas! You don't like it, you don't have to participate. I don't participate in Halloween because I do not celebrate it, but I would never try to take it away or change it for those who do

Because if it was Jesus being born, it would be a religious movie, rather than a light-hearted comedy about Santa, or rather, Santa's big brother. Also, according to historians, Jesus was actually born in the summer, not December. Christianity just stole that day from the pagans when they were trying to convert people. In fact, a lot of the things surrounding Christmas actually have pagan origins, such as the tree.
