Last Two Songs

I don't know what it is, but Silent Night being played in the snow globe scene and What a Wonderful World in the final scene always get me. Whenever I see these two scenes, I start to tear up. Especially when Giamatti says Fred is the best big brother anyone could ask for. No other scene in any other Christmas movie gets my emotions going like those two scenes. Just finished it tonight. I think I'll give it a 7 or 8 out of 10. Has serious points, good music and good family comedy.

Agree with you totally, Just watched it again a few nights ago and those scenes made me verklempt, too. And I also tear up when Mrs. Claus, who has disliked Fred (with good reason) throughout the movie, looks at Nick reconciling with Fred and smiles, that makes me choke up.
