I'm just watching it on FX, it's been a while so I don't remember this detail and he's now contained by the Army... how did they keep him contained? I mean the dude devours planets. Plot hole? Or did SS had a weakness in the comics/film that was able to bring him down to human's level of power?

In the movie, the Surfer gets his cosmic power from his board.
The field they set up in the forest emitted some sort of tachyon pulse that supposedly cut him off from his board, made it so he couldn't receive energy from it. From that point he lost his powers.
It's not a plot hole really, more of a demonstration of Reed's genius.
Silver Surfer doesn't eat planets, he's just the herald of Galactus, a gigantic entity that travels through space devouring planets whole. Silver Surfer has The Powers Cosmic which are really powerful but he, like any superhero, has weaknesses. Apologies for coming off as if I was being short with you, not my intention at all.

Yeah, I was watching it now, too. I think I saw part of it yesterday, also.
That part where the Surfer shows Sue the little movie of a planet being destroyed on his stomach reminded me of a Teletubbie.
Haha. Well now that Ghost Rider is on, did anybody feel they could have at least chose an actor that at least resembles Cage during his young scenes? I've always disliked miscasting. The guy who plays a younger Ghost Rider has chiseled features, while Cage has a longer jaw and a different nose - screw it, doesn't look like the younger guy at all.
Anyway.
