Under his tux? That cannot be comfortable.

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say yes. Hence the fact that Johnny seems hesitant prior to chasing down the Silver Surfer. But I'm sure the uniform issue is something Reed/Mr. Fantastic took into account knowing such circumstances could arise.

Yeah he did. It was probably a precaution, seeing as it is a very public event with helicopters everywhere, he might have been considered an 'extreme' bouncer.
