Fantastic Four Reboot Casting

I was wondering who people would like to see recast as the Fantastic Four. I'm still trying to make my list, but I'd be interested in hear other peoples opinions.

Reed Richards - Adrian Pasdar. He's got the look for it, and based on the roles I've seen him in, he seems like he could pull off that authority, maturity and intelligence that Reed should have. Plus Reed should be a little bit on the older side, anyway.

Susan Storm - Rachel Nichols or Elizabeth Banks. Rachel's a rather underrated actress in my opinion. Has assertiveness and class to go with her pretty face, and unlike the previous films, Sue should be more than just a pretty face and believable as a capable team member as well as mother figure to the team. Another person I could see pulling this off is Elizabeth Banks, who is a proven and versatile actress, and I could definitely see her pulling off the mother figure angle. Plus she's got more of a classic beauty going for her, as opposed to the tired "hottie poster girl" one that's so popular these days.

Johnny Storm - Sean Faris. Never Back Down showed he can be cocky and headstrong, which of course were two of Johnny's main traits. Just needs to dye his hair blond.

Ben Grimm - Honestly, I'm not sure right now. Let me think about that one and I'll get back to you.

Logan, buddy. It's me, Deadpool! I shot youuuuuu....

Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic - Josh Duhamel or Daniel Gillies

Sue Storm/Invisible Woman - Melissa George

Johnny Storm/Human Torch - Sean Faris (I agree with WhoopsieThree-D)

Ben Grimm/The Thing - I think the Thing should be completely CG. I don't know who could provide the voice.

GET OUT. I almost said Josh Duhamel for Ben Grimm, but then I re-thought it; he's a little too much of a hunk. I'm still trying to think who could pull off the gruff-yet-compassionate aspects of the character. Melissa George isn't a bad choice for Sue, either.

I think the original four are just fine, they just need a good script to believe in.

The guy who plays Mr Fantastic did a really good job I think, plus his eyes are so engaging. I think he could reprise the role

HOWEVER, I did NOT care for Jessica Alba as Sue! I picture Sue to be someone more like Adrienne Frantz. If not her, Rachel McAdams then. Malin Ackerman is very beautiful, BUT acting wise I'm unimpressed. she was pretty cool in Watchmen though...But still....Adrienne for Sue Storm =) (check her out on Young and the Restless if you don't know who she is!)

Johnny- Chris Evans again. He is super handsome, and had the right attitude for the role. If not him, maybe Seann William Scott or someone like him...Dane Cook even =P hahah jk (maybe)

The Thing...I liked Michael's job on the role, but honestly CGI would work as well...they just need a good voice actor as stated.

Victor Von Doom....usually I love Julian McMahon, but honestly He didn't get into this role like I expected. The script was kind of bad though, but still. Menacing and Evil, I see someone like Oded Fehr. He was AMAZING as Xankhou (sp?) in Charmed...though he might not look the role per se.

anyway, just a thought =)

reply

Sorry but Chris Evans is already Captain America and Marvel would not want him as two characters because they will be doing crossovers up the wazoo.
LMAO @ the guy from Deuce Bigelow as Dr. Doom, but i could see it work.
Also, Ben Grimm needs an actor for the actual Ben Grimm.

On a side note, I think Doug Jones had an absolutely PERFECT look for the Silver Surfer and I am glad he is reprising his role.

reply

Don't change anything, except move on to another villain other than Dr. Doom. bring in the Submariner, the Frightful Four, Claw, ect. I think the cast was good as was the stories of both movies.

haraldo's casting is the funniest thing i've read all day

Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic-Jon Hamm

Sue Storm/the invisible woman-Anna Torv from Fringe, not only is she beautiful but also brings in sophistication and intelligence to her roles, something I've yet to see Alba do convincingly.

Johnny Storm/the human torch-Cam Gigandet

The thing-I wouldn't mind if chicklis returned though james gandolfini doing his voice would be rock solid for me.

Since both John Krasinski and Chace Crawford didn't get the part of Captain America. I think John can played Mr. Fantastic and Chace as Human Torch. also John's former co-star of The Office David Denman as The Thing and Rachel McAdams as The Invisible Woman.

reply

Reed Richards-Jim Parsons
Sue Storm-Kristen Bell
Johnny Storm-Chris Pine
Ben Grimm-Adrian Pasdar or Michael Chiklis

reply

I don't who would be a good cast but I think Shuler Hensley(Frankenstein in Van Halsing) would be good as The Thing because I think the monster roles he did I think he should try as a comic book hero.

id like to see rose mcgowan as the invisible woman
