Does anyone know why Dr. Doom wears his signature mask so little in these films? Did McMahon hate wearing that mask or something? I always remember the comic book and the image of Dr. Doom being such a classic bad guy like Darth Vader because of his evil-looking mask.
shareI bet you anything it was because the director didn't want to hide the actor's facial emotions behind a blank mask. Raimi was similar with Spider-Man. It's why that mask was always coming off.

Second, he was pretending to be a "good" guy with the military, so wearing an evil looking mask around them would be rather silly.
Third, the armor is built to contain the Surfer's Cosmic Power, so until he has a chance to steal it he has little reason to wear the suit.
