I mean most of this movie comes off like a lame brain, cornball sitcom from the 80's on a bigger budget with Fantastic Four characters. I honestly kept expecting a stupid laugh track to be heard every once and a while.

Actually, list it as a horror movie instead, because just about everything is cringe worthy to the bone.

You also need to keep in mind that The Fantastic Four was always vanilla. The jokes don't all have to be corny -- which I don't think they are in this sequel -- but you can't have anything too risque or edgy without violating the tone of the source material.

I read FF when I was about 8, 9 years old. My mom always considered it a gateway comic. This film isn't perfect, but it's decent family fare when you keep that in my mind.
