This movie's title is Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
It is NOT4: Rise of the Silver Surfer. IMDB is literally the ONLY site that lists it as such that I've seen. Every other site (and ALL promotional material, including trailers, the DVD box, etc.) lists it as Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
I submitted a change, so if it is changed, please do NOT change it back.
The "4" insignia is NOT the title, it's the "Fantastic Four" symbol.
And FURTHERMORE, this is my signature! SERIOUSLY! Did you think I was still talking about my point?
Actually, it was released here in the UK as 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer, and the title was changed if I remember rightly just before the film was released Stateside.
Did they actually change it, then change it back? What title-nazi is doing this? It's so blatantly obvious that the title is not "4: Rise of the Silver Surfer", it's unfunny. I think IMDB is literally the only website that lists it as such.

Did the opening title card have the circular "4" symbol, and the words "Rise of the Silver Surfer"? Because if so, then that's not the title. The "4" circular symbol doesn't literally mean "4", it is the emblem of the Fantastic Four, and therefore was meant to stand for the words "Fantastic Four." Hence the title is "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer." Even the MPAA website has it listed as such, based on the studio telling them that was the title.
Also, I wouldn't think they had time or resources to change the title on every single print overseas in the five days from the UK premier to the US premier, as all of the prints would have been shipped out by then.

The BBFC certificate at the opening of the film said 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer, and much of the promo work here named it as such. My EPK from Fox also named it as 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

That's odd, because everything (promotional material, DVD box, film credits, MPAA website, etc., etc., etc.) where I live refers to it as Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (The "Four in a Circle" is not meant to be taken literally, it is the insignia of the "Fantastic Four" and was meant to stand in for those words), and almost every single other website lists it as such. IMDB was literally the only place where I saw it listed as 4: Rise of the Silver Surfter. (MPAA website even lists it as Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, and it's probably the most reliable source for an American-made film.)
PLEASE don't try and change it back... People have been complaining about the wrong title being up since it came out... You're the only one I've seen to suggest it was correct, I've seen DOZENS of people complaining in the past.

Here in the UK it was released as 4:RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER. That was its official title. I have the press kit, a lot of promo material and I was involved in some of the marketing, so yes, that IS the official title here in the UK. It's a dumb title, but it's the right one here in the UK. I have no intentions of changing it back, I much prefer the MPAA decision (which is US based, not world-wide). But just for info, the title was different elsewhere, as I've pointed out. The MPAA doesn't rule the world of film.
Based on the logic being shown in this topic....the title SHOULD be..."Fantastic Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer." If the logo stands for the words "Fantastic Four" as you have stated.
Though I agree, on the promotional posters with each individual character, that has no words in the title other than "Rise of the Silver Surfer", I can understand why it would be confusing.
And to be fair, the 4 in the title on the DVD is NOT the Fantastic Four logo, it's not an off-center 4 in a circle....the 4 lays on top of the circle.
It's just like the movie "Se7en". Should we call the movie "Sesevenen?" No? Then there ya go.
So, according to FOX, the title is "Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer."
It's quite a confusing mess. Unfortunately, a few films have had this issue here, as you pointed out with "Sesevenen." (I don't know what it is, but some people seem to think a stylized title card means the title is different from what it actually is)
But the fact is, the title is Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. (I don't care whether or not the "four" is spelled out of just the number 4.) It was never "4: Rise of the Silver Surfer.") I'm just glad it finally got changed.

Well some idiot changed it back to 4:Rise of the Silver Surfer again. I actually went to the video game page and then realized that wasn't right. Now I know why. The title is not listed right.
