How annoying is that Levi kid?

If I saw that kid "Levi" (the little sh*t with the ridiculous mullet hairstyle) walking down the street preaching his nonsense, I would go up to him and kick him so hard that he'd go flying into the sky. He'd go up in the sky so high, but he wouldn't get to heaven. Because there is no heaven. He'd come hurtling down and splat all over the floor. What an annoying little tw@t.

reply

Really? I'd just shoot him. Much simpler.

Is it really his fault the way he is being raised? If you think about his potential in other areas of life (if given a chance) he would succeed in most any type of public speaking career...

Are you INSANE????

Ted Haggard made over $200K a year and he's a crazy meth-head pedophile. This kid is a *beep* genius. Do you know how much money he could make just by spouting a bunch of *beep* to a bunch of lunatics ONE DAY A WEEK. More power to this kid!

The only problem is that he'll never be able to cut off his tail because it's like his signature now. So he'll never get laid. Also, I'm not sure if being gay is a pre-requisite to the job. Seems like it might.

ooh leave Levi alone hes a great person and a awesome friend if you wanna blame anyone being annoying blame hollywood and there editing. they made the kids and christians look really bad...

Chris Miles: Bubbles. They go up, and up and up and then ... dissapear. Poof.

reply

They didn't make the children look "bad", they portrayed the true colors of the manipulative fundamentalist adults.

they made the kids and Christians look really bad

Oh please. I have been a Christian for fifty years and all I can say is when you have a morbidly obese woman yammering about fasting there's a little something going on called cognitive dissonance.

A camp that puts kids through the emotional equivalent of a beating on a daily basis needs to be shut down. This is child abuse as surely as if they were walloping them with their belts.

Oh God. There's nothing more inconvenient than an old queen with a head cold!

You realize that Becky Fischer herself was one of the people behind this film, right?

reply

That a little harsh. We shouldn't be here to judge. Second you are WRONG, there is a heaven. We have to put God before everything else. If we don't, we won't go to heaven. Its as simple as taht. The problem is when people go to heaven, people may not like what they see and don't want to be with God. I know I seem hypocritical, but that is the way it is.

reply

minitrickster, what you say is an enslavement of the human consciousness to think clearly and rationally.

then I feel very sorry for u. just remember God loves you no matter what. I think that you have a trouble seeing heaven because u are afraid of what it will look like. Most people struggle with that including myself. We are not all going to make it into heaven. In the Bible it talks about when you get to heaven God amy not be what you think.

reply

I feel sorry for you for giving up reality.

I haven't given up reality. Look I don't want to bicker about this any longer. You stick to your views and I'll stick to mine. Problem solved. Have a nice life.

Thankfully we wont waste our lives trying to please something that doesnt even exist.

No because you think it makes more sense to argue with people who does just that. >_>

Way to not waste your life.

If you don't know, why bother?

reply

Yea but this can be done in bits and pieces while watching TV or what have you. It's not an over-riding fear inducing life-style.

reply

No no I absolutely get it. Atheists believe its okay to waste your life in any which way except on religion. >_>

If you don't know, why bother?

reply

Why waste your life believing in something that isn't real? It isn't even a mere personal belief, because it's been crossed over into the culture at large & is the motivator behind some legislation & education reform.

LoL, why waste your life hating something that isn't real? I probably said this before but when you believe in something, you make it real. Also when you argue about something, you make it real. Fortunately or unfortunately depends on how you look at it, religion becomes very real to a lot of people because they make it real.

If you don't know, why bother?

reply

Why would you hate Jebus? The stories make him out to be a rather good guy. A little misguided, in some aspects, but decent enough. I think your problem is with the people who have hijacked him.

reply

Actually for most atheists, who are just people that do not believe in GOD, they do not care what you believe as long as you don't go trying to push your beliefs on them. If it makes you feel better, or function better on some level then great. As long as it doesn't encourage you to vandalize the property of or murder the person of those that disagree with you then why not.

Most of the fights religious types will end up getting into is with science types, and even then only when they try to push their religion as science, or try to challenge scientific knowledge with information born of religious ignorance.

That is when you really start to annoy people, even religious scientists.

Who is the better person in your opinion: The person who commits crime because of religion, or the person who commits crime just because?

If you don't know, why bother?

reply

That kind of illustrates the point exactly.

I cannot say without knowing the crime.

I have less respect for someone who acts blindly on the word of another, whatever the context. I have more respect for someone who breaks the law to feed his child than one who breaks the law to fulfill some arbitrary text written centuries ago.

Any evil act that requires religion to justify it is just made worse by trying to make that argument in my view.

reply

The religious person every time.

The chaotic criminal might not have a reason, probably doesn't even need one. There's only a base desire to do something that society has deemed illegal, and it was carried out by one individual seeking his or her own self satisfaction in that base desire. Someone without a reason isn't bothering to do a self-examination, they just do it.

The religious person has a reason, and it must be a good one too to willfully go against the laws of men. Religions are always preaching self-inspection with one hand, but duty, shame, and guilt with the other. But they're not alone. How many people taught that person to be religious? Who twisted printed words in such a way that condones illegal activity? Who will praise the action and count the criminal as a martyr? And most importantly, how many will follow in his footsteps?

On the small scale, Person A carves his initials into a bathroom stall. Who cares really? he was there, he was bored, everyone after him knows that. He might even get creative and write a limerick or draw something obscene. It might make the next person giggle, but it's harmless. Person B carves a cross. Still harmless and nobody cares, but he's not just announcing his presence. He's using the symbol of an ancient torture device to proselytize to a captive audience and even annoy 70% of the world's population that isn't Christian.

Taken to the extremes, basically we have a serial killer vs. a suicide bomber. Serial Killers have the occasional copycats, but it pales in comparison to the countless bombers who carry out indiscriminate killings in the name of religion and the institutions that endorse future tragedy.

Wiki him, he's worse than that...

reply

Neither is better or worse, it's not the motivation, but the end result. It doesn't matter if you murdered someone for god or you just want to see what it's like to kill someone, you've deprived someone of life.

reply

No, he doesn't love me, because if I don't believe in him I'll spend eternity being tortured. That's not love, that's extortion.

One iota that god exists, please. And, again, saying "it's in the bible" isn't proof.

reply

One iota of proof that heaven exists, please. And "it's in the bible" isn't proof any more than Harry Potter is proof of wizards.

reply

There's no way I can find him, or any of the kids, annoying. I feel profoundly sorry for them. They are being brainwashed and guilted into a horribly constrictive religious viewpoint. I grew up in a similar background, and it took me until the age of 19 to escape, and I was lucky. Very lucky. Many people who grow up in this type of background never manage to escape or even feel free to make a few of their own decisions. Their whole life is one big guilt trip.

Levi has a great future. It will be interesting to see how far he has grown as a Christian and an evangelist in twenty years time.
