Did the guy end up...? Spoilers
Was the guy doomed to haunt the road for eternity like the other ghosts? I'd like to think not.
"We got a job",

"The forever kind...".
Probably not. I think the other ghosts were there because they had some sort of unfinished business (like with the cop).
He, however, had made sure that she'd gotten back okay (he made sure she got home) and if he hadn't died he maybe could have gone out with her. His whole plan all along was to talk to her because he liked her.. and throughout the night they were both trying to keep each other safe and alive so he'd accomplished both those things. I really don't think he would have any reason to stay and haunt the road for eternity.
Right. He completed his business in this world and could rest.
