What idiot drives down a crappy snowy road?

Expecially in the vehicle that he was driving. He choose a road randomlly for a short cut. I thought the movie could of been better written and have more of a story line too it.

That didn't bother me at all. It was a quick decision, he didn't think it through and obviously had no idea what it was gonna be like. He just thought, as far as I remember, that it looked romantic and wanted to impress the girl.

I live in Wisconsin and am used to driving in snow. I would have felt comfortable taking that road.

When a character in a horror movie does something incredibly stupid, like driving down a side road because it's a short cut or scenic route I loose all respect for that character and don't care if he lives or dies.
Of course, the side road was only one of a large number of idiotic things that character did.
