glasses
How did he know what she looked like in her glasses? Did he sneak into her dorm?
Probably because he used to peep her when she was at dorm.

A less sinister explanation might be that he did go into her dormitory and just saw her there with them on in the hallway or something.
shareI get the impression that he's supposed to have been standing looking up at her window or something. I think they went a bit too far in trying to initially insinuate that he might be a nut-job, because that makes it harder to have sympathy with him later.
shareHe probably owned the building and had an elaborate network of cameras setup to spy on each of the tenants, like William Baldwin in Sliver.

Sheesh, was everyone who replied in this thread sleeping through part of the movie? The conversations the guy & girl have in the car make it clear they took a philosophy class together. Most likely she would've been wearing her glasses to to be able to read the board, projector, or powerpoint, etc, whatever media the professor used to teach the class.

No reason to be nasty. I didn't remember her saying she didn't wear them outside of the dorms. BTW, in case you didn't know, dorms aren't all that private. All kinds of people walk around the hallways, both residents and visitors, similar to a hotel. There's even a chance he had no idea what she looked like in her glasses but could've said "they look so good on you" simply to give her a compliment because he liked her. Not sure why so many people here treat this character like peeping tom. He wasn't all that bad, in my opinion.
Peace to you, fellow movie lover.

Texasmccoy - I agree with you - don't know why people post if they feel so put out about doing so! Anyhow, as far as how she looked with glasses, I didn't think too much about that. We already know he's had his eye on her, and he could have seen her with them on any number of ways, as you've stated. I did not feel he was a bad guy, either. Just a nerdy, lonely guy who wanted to spend some time with someone he had a crush on. He explained himself somewhat, as he was leading her out back to safety, about how the trip was supposed to have been their silly little story (to tell others, someday). I really liked this movie and saw it as more than a horror story.
shareI agree with you, I don't think he was a bad guy /weirdo /stalker like so many people on this board are saying. Sure that's what she called him in the beginning, but I felt it was more to establish her character, not his, to show that she was high-strung and outspoken and even a bit spoiled, not perhaps the quiet lovely girl he thought her to be when he would observe her in class. I too saw him as you do, he was just an awkward, lonely guy who wasn't confident enough to just walk up to her normally and ask her out on a date, as he admitted later on in the story. I happened to see this movie because it was one of those situations where there was nothing else on TV that I wanted to watch and this had just started. I like stumbling upon lesser-known movies such as this one that way

Have you seen "The Caller" (2011 Rachelle Leferve)? It's an excellent movie, too. It is under the "horror" genre, but it is really more than that. I thought about that movie for several days and it had me coming to this site to listen to other opinions. I saw it on Netflix. You may enjoy it!
shareNo I haven't seen that, but thanks for the suggestion, I'll keep it in mind!

Calm down I wasn't getting nasty, I was simply asking the same question you asked everyone else.
"Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand."
You are so right... Anyway, I think she looks good in her glasses, even though she doesn't think so. :)
sharethat was weird lol. texacoy was rude asking if everyone slept through the movie and when someone asked her the same question she got defensive. lmbo
It weakens us to not give our enemies the respect they deserve...
I noticed that too. The hypocrisy was too funny.
