Sarah Polley was unwatchable.

I was SO looking forward to watching her in this movie, but she didn't have a major scene until well into the movie. Then when it was finally her turn, her meltdowns were too much -- made me cringe. Yeah, of course she can act but I don't understand why she accepted such a one dimensional role. Shame on the director.

I found her performance to be fairly realistic, as my mum has suffered from something called treatment-resistant, cryptic bipolar disorder. It hit close to home.
