This movie was originally supposed to have Howard Stern as the lead, he said he was to busy launching the sirius show, but he said he was going to do the role a bit more seriously and alot different than Robin. How do you think that would have worked out?
shareI think it would have been fantastic. Probably better than the Robin Williams version.
It started out as a comedy and ended up a political thriller, I don't know what was going on. It was a very confusing mess.
Howard Stern actually ran for the governor/mayor of New York years ago I think.
I think it would've been dreadful with Stern, more so than it already is with Williams. Stern is not an actor, nor is he a standup comedian. Unless he was playing Howard Stern in the movie, it would've taken me right out of the story. It would be a Howard Stern movie and not a Barry Levinson movie.
Don't get me wrong, I like Howard Stern, but a mainstream actor he ain't.
