This was over-the-top. It could've been good, but the messages were way too unsubtle ... so cheesy ... I really didn't like it.

Then I guess you have never seen Christmas Shoes, or the sequel which was worse.

Really? There are many. In fact, I'd say, for example, the LOTR trilogy movies are every bit as sentimental as this was.
