So Jason's never heard of the fast forward button?

Dude, just try to wrestle to remote away from those people, press the fast forward button and get to the point. Sure, he might fail getting the remote, but the fact that he didn't even consider that is just silly.

it wasnt a VHS, the files might have been seperate and time encrypted...

I think they were time encrypted as his message plays automatically on thanksgiving...
