Did you find this movie scary?

I did for about 10 minutes. The shot of the one Stranger coming out of the shadows while the main character is standing in the living room was very effective despite being on the poster. However, it just got so repetitive after that it lost any tension. Plus it relied too much on jump scares.

A lot of people find this one to be very scary. I like it and think it does a decent job with it's tension building but it never scared me.

Home invasion movies can give some people the shits! It's a very realistic fear for some. I will say I found the French movie Ils (Them, in English) from 2006 scary when I saw it back in 2007 or so.

I very much did. I think different styles might work differently for different people. You found it inactive and repetitive, I found it to be a wonderful, slow-burn, tension-builder. It's scary because it's realistic. The things that get you at home, where you should be safe, are scariest. Of course it's also the vacation home which lends the travel horror element too.

I remember the first time I watched it. I was alone in my parents' house, which is in town, but in an acre or so of wooded area. I forget where everyone else was, but I was home alone with my dog, I was in my early 20s. I was drinking and smoking, and it was storming, so yeah, it was pretty creepy.

Really... NO. I felt that James was involved. And the fact that the two "victims" were straight out of a slasher flick where they were the two dumbest people ever and deserved their fates. Nope. Not scary, and tedious.

Not at all.

Uunintentionally..
there's a moment where the jump scare is a sudden knock pounding on the door
i had headphones on late night alone near a window and I thought someone was actually outside coming at me for like 2 seconds 😄
