shareI enjoyed it. I've thought before that Hell didn't need to be anything necessarily physically tortuous. Just something repetitive for all eternity would do the trick. It was a bit scary and unnerving in its own way.
sharedoes anyone ever really do anything to deserve an eternity of punishment?
..and for that matter, does anyone really believe this eternity nonsense when u die?
thats a mightly long time
It was ok, a lot better than some of the mean-spirited and dumb reviews I've read from the self annointed blogger 'horror websites', it was fun in a campy way.
shareNot, really. I thought it sucked.
shareditto, half of the episode was just them driving...what kind of crap is that???
shareI liked it up until a point, especially when I recognized Duane Allman & Ronnie Van Zandt & I realized exactly what was going on - it was cool, but when evil Ricky Nelson jumped on the hood, then the episode "jumped the shark"...

I really liked it. "Hell of a Band" is one of my favorite SK short stories anyway (maybe I'm biased because I live in Oregon) and I think they did a great job of adapting it to the screen. It was one of the few during this whole miniseries that I think fit well into the hour time frame and didn't feel stretched out and packed with unnecessary filler. It was the one I was looking forward to the most and I'm glad they ended the series with it.

I agree with everything you said, and I thought it was done very well. I thought it was definitely worth the wait.
shareI liked except hat Kim Delaney's character was just about the most annoying bitch I'd ever seen.
shareWell, Steven Weber's character was the dumbest son of a bitch I'd ever seen.
Charlie Murphy!! *punch*- Dave Chappelle as Rick James share

Haha yep....Burt wouldn't listen to Vicky either, in the CotC story, and look what happened to them! Doh.
shareOf the ones I've seen(haven't watch AUTOPSY yet), I thought it was the best of the bunch. It was the only episode that I thought actually created a creepy atmosphere(as opposed to CROUCH END which was simply awful). Plus, I thought the ending was going to be something lame like they were going to be eaten by the dead rock stars. I liked that their fate was a never-ending concert especially since having to listen to Doors music for eternity really would be hell.
shareI really want to see this episode :D but I have to wait till it comes out on DVD :(
"You are validating my inherent mistrust of strangers."
I never read the short stories of SK but watching these shows me how great a writer he is. I loked HOAB. One question, why did everything turn Sin City and become B&W with some color?
shareI loved "Hell Of a Band"

Reading these posts make me want to see this episode even more damn I wish I had TNT.

I very much liked Hell of a Band, mainly for the fact that they were able to get players who looked almost exactly like those they were portraying, especially the woman who played Janis Joplin, Erin Wright, who should play her in the upcoming biopic, Gospel according to Janis. i am a big fan of Joplin and thought Wright did a great job playing her.
What kind of superhero would call himself Lord Smoked Meats and Fishes?
This was one of the worst episodes. Did you see that crap where the Cd melted on her leg! That was so fake. And driving looked really fake too when they showed Webers face. Also none of the dead rockers looked even remotely like the real person. Just sucked.
shareIf you see any movie/tv show, really the driving looks fake.

I have one question about the ending: What was the point of the record spinning at the end?
shareI guess it's meant that the whole story has no end - this concert will go over and over again. Preety disturbing, but in fact if I was on a main character's place, I would:
a) try to run away or...
b) die if I fail or...
c) try to destroy that *beep* place, burn it or convince other living (?) people to rebel
it was my second favorite story, mind you I haven't seen all of them but it was way better then Crouch End and Road Virus.
