This or Masters of Horror?

In terms of quality. Which is more so worth my time? I like the "blood and guts / in your face" horror more than the "creepy atmosphere" horror. For example I like Hostel or The Hill Have Eyes(2006) more than something like The Grudge or The Ring. So based on that, what would yall say is more up my alley and worth making time for?

If you're more for blood and guts, go 'Masters of Horror'. 'Nightmares and Dreamscapes' is more cerebral and contains less litres-per-frame of blood than 'MoH'.

I have the full sets of both. I dig all of them as a horror writer myself. There are weak episodes in both, but I'm just happy the anthology horror series is back.

I was overjoyed that both series had some reference to the master of early 20th century horror, HP Lovecraft. He, like some episodes, is hard to get into at first, but give it time. Personally, Cigarette burns from Masters of Horror was my favorite there, and probably Battleground from NaD. (Most likely because that one was my favorite story for my mom to read to me as a little kid)

Just watch em all, it's worth it just to see something different than the rest of the reality crap on tv.

I'm almost finished renting the MOH series and I've started the N&D tonight. N&D is like watching a CGI Twilight Zone. The MOH is very bloody and a lot like the way horror movies are made these days, for obvious reasons-they have some fairly well known horror movie directors making them. I like them both so far.

Masters of Horror for more blood/gore satisfaction. N&D for thinking more.

Definitely Masters of Horror if not just because they can push the boundaries of what you can show. Very few limitations are needed I believe to tell a great story.

There are some good ones and some real stinkers. I have just started watching the Nightmares & Dreamscapes episodes and so far not bad but it's more on par with the 2000's version of the Twilight Zone. Not too bad but nothing special either.

I just wish that we could get a new anthology series of sci-fi and horror. Kind of akin to Tales from The Darkside or Monsters.

Masters of Horror is a much better show overall than N&D.

Fear itself is also worth looking into.
