Why does Laura egg him on to kill her?

She purposely tells him to go ahead and kill me..."I never loved you, you're pathetic"....are we to assume she was suicidal as well?

I don't think she was suicidal. I think because she describes him as "pathetic" she never actually believed he would hurt her.

She does it to prove to him, he is no longer that other person.

I really don't think she thought he would actually do it.

She didn't think he had the guts to go through with it. She probably should have thought that idea a little more carefully.
