Dull beyond belief

This film had an intriguing premise and started off well but then ... it just fizzles into a non-event. The whole plotline could be discovered in the first 20 minutes which is a reflection of just how shallow and lacking in depth this film is. I had no sympathy for any of the characters nor did I care about any of them - they were just too contrived and acted like cardboard cutouts. Jim Carrey was especially bad playing against type and should stick to comedy in future since it's the only thing he can do well.

The so-called "suspense" in this film was just a series of gratuitous sex scenes, a bit of blood and a mangy looking dog. It just didn't work and the whole film felt disjointed and rushed.

A big disappointment.
