I was watching the movie on my own with popcorn,i finished the popcorn and at the end of the movie i noticed the popcorn kernels left in the bowl. I decided to count them for obvious reasons and to my amazement they all added up to 23. Now i didn't want this to happen so i counted again but it was still 23. I don't believe this means anything i just thought it was weird coincidence

i dont know if it works but i did 1+1=2 46/2= 23
I was just coming on here to put my coincidence on here and found all these others! How odd...but when I paused the movie and came back, I noticed it had been paused at 23 minutes...creepy...haha.

LOL! these are all freaky but it happened to me too. i was watching the movie and i checked my cell phone to see what time it was and it was 10:13 (10+13 = 23!) i was like WTF!?

I just saw the movie like and hour ago, my boyfriend (who is 23 btw!) brought it over. When it finished he said he was going home 'cause it was getting late, we looked at the clock and (of course!) it was 11:12.
And! OMG I have a 5 (2+3) letter name, the first 2 letters add up 32, and the last 3 add (YES) 23!
Something else! Our anniversary is on October 23!
I have to crazy stories.
A) I ordered this movie and it arrived on 12/13. Watched it yesterday for the first time yesterday which was 1/22 which is 23.
B) Let me preface this by saying this has nothing to do with The Number 23. It was actually about The Strangers. I was watching The Strangers with a girl in her dorm room, it was a Friday night and we were alone because her roommate went home for the weekend. Anyway, we were watching the movie because I am really into horror films although because I like the feeling of getting scared; I haven't been able to find a movie that scared me since the original Child's Play when I was 6 years old. Anyway, we are watching the movie and we watch it all the way through and we turn the tv off (this is important, I turned the tv off by hand- walked across the room and turned the tv off) and start to make out and hands are moving and everyone knows how it goes. About 10 minutes later, while we are still doing our thing, the tv pops on. Nothing big right- kind of shocking but one of us probably rolled on the remote right? Wrong, we are looking for the remote to turn the tv off and continue our session. Turns out, the remote is across the room on top of the tv. I never heard of a tv with a sleep opion where it will turn the tv on by itself at a certain time. To this day we are still clueless to what went on.
PS. the power didn't go off or anything- all the clocks where correct and her roommates desktop computer didn't restart. Also, she was freaked out and didn't want to do anything anymore that day.

actually there are tv's that has a sleep/alarm system that makes the tv turn on by itself. my parents had one so every morning there tv would turn on by itself to wake up my dad for work and it would always freak me out on the days they were out of town and forgot to turn of the tv alarm but i eventually got use to it. so yeah there are tv's that can turn on on there own just so you know but you would still have to set the alarm to do so of course

The reason for all these situations is the same like murphys law: when your sandwich falls on the wrong side you will remember it and think like: ahw im always unlucky. But if it falls on the good side it won't stick in your memory. The number 23 is kinda the same situation. You only focus on the number 23, thats why you see it more than other numbers because you simply dont find those interesting at that time because they make no connection.
