What does the tagline mean? "Before Logan... There was... I Am Legend."

The IMDB page lists three taglines:

1. "The last man on earth is not alone."

2. "Welcome to earth. Population 1."

3. "Before Logan... There was... I Am Legend."

I don't get the meaning of "Before Logan..."?

What does Logan's Run has anything to do with I Am Legend?

I guess because Logan's Run is about a society that collapsed, and so is I Am Legend.

It's a subtle connection, but it's still a connection.

It makes no sense.

First, if that is the reason, why not said: "Before Logan's Run" but "Before Logan"?

Second, taglines is advertising for selling movies, but not that many people knew Logan's Run.

Saying "Before Logan" is a Hollywood ad-writer's attempt to be laconic and punchy.

Just because you didn't know about Logan's Run, don't assume nobody did. :) It was pretty popular. Iconic, even.
