Yes in books at film outside the farmhouse la sainte....(spelling escapes me)
shareLa Haye Sainte
shareThanks for the spelling, though doesnt he still sing the tune at the start of first episode "not o'er the hills and far away"
shareHe was singing one about India in the first episode, then Over the Hills and Far Away at the end of this one.
shareSo he lives on in some form at least. Hagman and Harris were easily the best supporting charachters, its perhaps one of the most sentimental moments of the Sharpe series

Borrowing this thread for a bit of randomness...
My dad bought a box of records from an auction recently, and last night let me go through them to pick out what I wanted.
I pulled out one titled 'Lark Rise to Candleford: a Country Tapestry', to see what it was, and found that there's a bunch of songs on it featuring John Tams either singing or playing harmonica. (It's dated 1979 Charisma Records).
If I didn't know of John Tams from Sharpe, I probably wouldn't even have given it a second look, but now I'm kinda chuffed to have it (although I haven't listened to it yet, not had chance). @.@
you can get the soundtrack from sharpe online or at virgin
