Two 007 bad guys

Did you notice Toby Stephens was the badguy in Die another day? And Sean bean in Golden eye was a badguy. Just a thought.

The clip at the end looked better than tonight's.

Robin Williams ? that will annoy some people

reply

But only one was a bad guy from a good Bond film!

"You're my wife now"
"My name is Peter," said Alec. He lied.

reply

Sean Bean turned bad, didn't he. He was 006 and turned on Pierce Brosnan.

Robin Williams ? that will annoy some people

reply

His point was that while they wer both bad guys, only one of the films was good! Goleneye was brilliant while TWINE....well enough said.

reply

Oh right, haha. I haven't really watch them fully, but i'll take your opinions.

Robin Williams ? that will annoy some people

reply

I don't think it was TWINE, Toby Stephens was in Die Another Day! Thanks for backing up my point!

"You're my wife now"
"My name is Peter," said Alec. He lied.

reply

And Sean Bean (ex Bond baddie) went up against Bond (Daniel Craig) in an early Sharpe do not forget!

reply

So he did, though I'd never realised that was Daniel Craig until recently.

reply

Its like incest.

reply

Yeah, it was rubbish; what was all that invisible car rubbish?

Robin Williams ? that will annoy some people

reply

I didn't mind TND that much, there have definitly been worse bond films, TWINE being a prime example :)

That invisible car stuff isn't actually all that stupid. Scientists have been working on active camoflage for a while now. I read an article about it yonks ago on the bbc news website.

reply

The World is not Enough was an ok Bond film. Tomorrow Never Dies was questionable and Die Another Day is up there with the worst ones, if not THE worst one. Obviously that's just my opinion, but I'm quite a big fan and I wasn't keen on all of the so-called special effects!

Is it true about the invisible car stuff being somewhat real?

"You're my wife now"
"My name is Peter," said Alec. He lied.

Some links for you about the active camo stuff

Anybody notice the link between Hornblower and Sharpe, Ian McNeice as Colonel Runciman (Wagonmaster General) and Tapling.

reply

Ah, Tapling! There’s a bunch more:

HH: The Duel/Even Chance
- Michael Byrne as the creaky Captain Keane was also Sharpe’s Major Nairn.
- Vincent Grass as Captain “Fish for it” Forget also played Gen. Chamier in Sharpe’s Enemy

HH: Mutiny/Retribution
- Nicholas Jones as the bumbling Buckland was Fletcher the engineer in Sharpe’s Company
- Katia Caballero as the um, rather “resourceful” Senora Ortega was Josephine in Sharpe’s Eagle.
- Phillip Glenister as Hobbs played Sharpe’s brother Truman in Justice

HH: Loyalty/Duty
- Tony Hagarth as Prowse did double duty as Pot-au-Feu in Enemy and Parfitt in Justice. (Can’t think who Parfitt is, but IMDB has it listed.)
- Ron Cook as Doughty the steward played some guy named Napoleon in Sharpe’s Honor.

And then of course there’s HH's Lt. Bush, Paul McGann, who was the original Sharpe!

**sigh** I miss Hornblower! Ioan Gruffudd keeps saying he'd like to make more, but unfortunately A&E has completely gone to the dogs (of the bounty hunting variety), so not bloody likely.

I always wanted to be somebody, but now I realize I should have been more specific. (Lily Tomlin)

reply

Thanks, cads! Yeah, it would definitely be cool!

"You're my wife now"
"My name is Peter," said Alec. He lied.

reply

And Capt. Jack Pettachi, from 'Never Say Never Again' was in 'Sharpe's Eagle and 'Sharpe's Company' as Capt. Leroy (Gavan O'Herlihy). Don't know if Pettachi is considered a baddie, or a victim though. For that matter, was Toby Stephens a baddie, or was he the prettiest Bond girl ever?

reply

I vote prettiest Bond girl! *g*
