A goof in every movie is that you can't hear yourself or others talk while free falling. Only after you deploy your chutes that you can. I love Point Break but after reading somewhere that you can't hear and talk, I made a point to try it when I went skydiving. Fun times. But most have not and won't skydive so they don't care to know this fact.

Guys drugged up to his eyeballs anyways. We get glimpses of his distorted view of reality in other parts of the movie, the elevator scene especially. So I guess one could argue that,even though in reality, his voice is drowned out by the sound of the rushing air. In his head (and from our viewpoint), with time seemingly slowed down, he is able to hear perfectly and speak clearly.
shareIt's abundantly clear that realism was not the goal for this series, but in the sequel the message is played back, and nothing can be heard over the sound of rushing wind. The scene at the end of this with Chev talking clearly is really just from his perspective.

The movie isn't trying to be accurate at all...he can walk around in the second one...explain that scientifically (accurately).
Also you do bounce after falling from high enough.
