Great to see him still making movies, even if he did only have 3 sentences in the movie, but I wonder what happened to his character. I presumed when made to walk to turn with the outlaw's body he would have run into the other 2, coming back to see what had happened to their brother, but we never saw him again. I guess his character wasn't all that important.

I don't think the other two would come back, if they were that concerned, or more concerned for him than their own lives, they would have stayed or waited. I think Lauter's storyline becomes one of him struggling along with a corpse and how long he held on to his greed before he left the body behind and saved himself.
