The Bank Robbers.............. ..{{{SPOILERS}}}
One of the boys who robbed the bank recognized Gideon as one of Gen. McClellans officers who lost both his sons at the battle of Antietam and who had also killed over 100 men.
What are the chances that:
1. They just "happen" upon each other?
2. The kid "recognizes" him?
3. The kid knows his story?
How had he seen him? Photo? Highly unlikely since photography was in its infancy at that time, and besides, Gideon didn't look much like he once did.
I guess the filmmakers just threw this in to show that Gideon had lost his family too, and in that way he and Carver were alike.
Highly implausible, IMO.
