Music composed for 'Rogue'

Can anyone tell me what the soundtrack was like?

I read that the person who wrote the score for "Wolf Creek" - Francois Tetaz -also did the music for "Rogue". I haven't seen "Wolf Creek" so am not familiar with his music.

Some reviews have mentioned the score and I was just wondering what it's like. Some of my favourite music is from movies so I'm always listening for the score.

I'm seeing the film on Thursday, I hope, so will find out then.

I thought the score for 'Wolf Creek' was so fitting for the film, but felt that the first half of the 'Rogue' score was out of place. I don't think it created the right tone. There were small runs of bars where it worked, but overall lacked the same atmospheric key as the 'Wolf Creek' score.

For the last half, however, the score was so fitting. You can get the 'Wolf Creek' score on the 4-disc limited edition DVD (Region 4 Australia) - you can get it at JB Hi Fi (not sure if its still available - only 1000 copies made - its the one with the yellow cardboard sleeve).

Thank you for replying about the score for "Rogue". I saw the film on Thursday and realised that this was the music that was in "The Making of Rogue". I felt that the music that we heard when they first started off in the boat had a kind of asian type sound to it. There was an instrument I could hear that I don't think I've heard before, but I still liked this music very much even though it was a bit different to what I might have expected to hear, especially after first hearing the aboriginal vocals.

www.rubberrecords.com.au has the "Wolf Creek" soundtrack. I haven't seen this movie so I'm not sure about buying the soundtrack, although I have bought soundtracks before without seeing the movie. I'd like to buy the "Rogue" soundtrack so will have to keep checking JB Hi Fi, Sanity etc.

I just checked sanity and the soundtrack isn't listed. Shall keep looking out for it.

There was something in the credits of "The Making of Rogue" about the music, but I found the print so small and difficult to read. Anyway, the music was the same as in the movie.

Its hard to describe a score for a film. But i really liked the soundtrack to the film, it was very peaceful in parts and then suspensful in others. I also liked the track during the credits, it sounded like Doris Day, something about never seeing a crocodile smile.

That old song was a real surprise to hear towards the end of the credits.

I downloaded the "Rogue Podcasts" and one is called "The Croc's Theme" where the composer, Francois Tetaz, talks about creating the music for the croc. Though it's only a short clip its very interesting and worth watching.

Thanks for the info about the soundtrack. There's quite a few tracks on the CD isn't there? I tried to order it through my local sanity store but the CD wasn't listed on their database which was a surprise.

I found a site in Victoria - www.play4me.com.au - which has "Rogue" available to buy online so I'm going to buy it through them.
