Rogue or Black Water?
Sound similar, not watched either yet though. Anyone seen both?

Yes. They're different.
shareI found Black Water to be harder to watch in terms of tension...it's a real nail biter (if I may be so unoriginal to use that term)- it really is...There's a constant feeling of dread and hopelessness as characters wait in a tree while a croc waits for them below...its very character driven and it succeeds well.
Rogue is a popcorn movie with great production values and could be labelled "an entertaining ride". It is certainly a huge step up from Wolf Creek in my opinion, but it doesn't have that dread atmosphere like Black Water.
sin-surely,

you heard the man. if you want garbage, look elsewhere.
shareAlthough I haven't seen Rogue, I can't comment on it.
However in regards to Black Water, I strongly suggest you disregard everything jk90us said, and see the film. It is laced with plenty of suspense, and thrills. I couldn't disagree with this guy more, I gave it 8/10. In other words jk90 is full of crap. Do yourself a favor, see the film, and realize how right I am.

Nope. Because he spews inaccuracys about the film, he is 'full of crap.'
"50 minutes of doing nothing but sitting in a tree." No, they never made an effort to escape, they never touched the water, no one got eaten, they just sat in a tree. The stalking crocodile was completely irrelevent because they did nothing but sit in the tree. Are you picking up my sarcasm yet because i'm laying it on pretty thick.
The fact that this guy is complaining about a lack of nudity as a pitfall should in itself turn you off to his opinion completely.

No you shouldn't ignore Jk90's post in my opinion, but the truth is that jk90 don't understand movies. He's that kind of loser that puts on a video just to watch a crocodile to bite the *beep* outta people. Think realistic... what would you do? Jump down and splash in the water or damn stay there for rescue?
Damn... people say "oh i hate that movie... totally unrealistic" and now they go "BORING... nothing happens"
... *beep*
Screenwriter, what are you?
Oh man, I just thought of something, what if he wasn't full of crap, what if he was full of poop???? What then???
shareROUGE is ten times better than PRIMEVAL(croc looks like T-Rex)
sharehope you don't come across a real croc, you might think it was just rubber!
shareBlack Water all day everyday
shareBlack Water seems to be having release 'issues' as well.
shareLike someone else said, BW is supposed to be realistic, while Rogue is a fun monster movie.
Black Water is more tense, while Rogue is more a party movie to throw on whilst drinking with your mates.
But which one did I enjoy more? Rogue, for sure...
"Prepare thyself. It's bloodshed time"
Ok, weird. The line Black Water has been using for a long time "does for crocs what jaws did for sharks" now appears on the back of the Rogue DVD - albeit with a different attribution.
shareHi! In the basic, the script of both movies are very similar, but in my opinion Black Water is superior in acting, story and cinematographic achievement! In Black Water everything happen for a reason, but in Rogue you have the sensation that some of the events were there on a "forced way"! For a cinema lover like me a movie with monsters, is not about blood or what parts of characters are eaten, but the tension, the suspense that the movie can provides to you and from my point of view Black Water is superior in that terms, created by a superior camera work! But like I said this is just my opinion, you have to see both and judge by yourself.
Here is my ratings
Black Water 7.5
Rogue 6!
Greatings from Portugal and good movies!
