Is there a 'rated' version of the film, as opposed to 'unrated'?

I saw ROGUE in a movie theater here in Mexico, though I know that it went straight to DVD in the USA and almost everywhere else. But because in the USA it was never released in theaters it never got a rating (or so I deduce, I may be wrong).
Usually when a DVD is marked as UNRATED it's because it has extra footage not included in the theatrical release which WAS rated. We are enticed into buying the UNrated version because it may contain extra bloodier scenes.
Is this the case with the ROGUE DVD, which is marked as UNRATED? I'm inclined to believe that there is only one version of the film and that the UNRATED mark on the DVD cover is just a ploy to make us believe that it's bloodier than it really is, because the film was never RATED in the first place.
So, in closing, has anyone seen a RATED version of ROGUE?

I saw it in theaters here in the US. It got a small limited run in some cities. I believe the one I saw in theaters was rated R, and the DVD was unrated.

This is off memory of about 2 years ago, but I think it was rated when we went to see it in the cinema, but the only version for sale/rent is the UNrated. Hope this helps...

Actually the unrated dvd does contain extra footage. None of it is extra blood or gore, its all just character stuff that slows down the film and breaks the tension, if you listen to the dvd commentary the director points out which scenes are new.
